Sleeve Notes:

Tony plus Tangent is a band from the seaside town of Deal in Kent. Until December 1978 they were called "Something New" but, because of a change of members, they decided to reform under the present name of Tony plus Tangent. Over the past nine months they have become a very popular band in the Kent area and, since they all read music, they are often called upon to back cabaret.
Although this is their first solo record, they provided the backing and musical arrangements for the L.P. album "Princess Snowdrop" from which the song 'What a wondrous world we live in' derives. The profits from the L.P. are being donated to UNICEF for the International Year of the Child. Giulliano Laffranchi (who runs the Ristorante Al Porto in Dover) wrote the musical in his native Italian and the famous jazz pianist Mike McKenzie helped him with the songs. The equally famous J. Alexander Ryan wrote the English lyrics.
The band wish to thank Ted barrett for his fine session work on the pedal steel guitar and all those involved with the recording of these songs.
